	FOUNDATION AND HISTORY
	Gazi University Commerce and Tourism Education Faculty was founded as “Secretary Teachers Training Center” on 16’th January 1956 in Ankara and it started operating as “Commerce Teachers School” with 3 year duration in the same year. Its name was change to “Commerce Teachers College” with 4 year duration in 1982, it was included to Gazi University which was estabilished according to law 2809 (Higher Education Institues Organization) and it continued its education as “Vocational Education Faculty-Commerce and Tourism Education Faculty” which is linked to Gazi University with law 3838 dated 11’th July 1992.
	EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES
	Within the faculty are two fully equipped computer labs with internet connection, Front Office Lab, Office Equipment Lab, Typing Machine Lab, and Research Bookcase. Besides, there are two seminar rooms, sufficient number of classrooms, student’s canteen and messhall. Our faculty is located in close quarters to the central library and movie theatres. Courses in addition to main department courses during their four year education. Besides, master and doctorate education are offered in all departments.
	ACCADEMIC STAFF
	In our faculty totally 62 instructors that comprise 5 Professors, 9 Associate Professors, 13 Assistant Professor, 14 Lecturers and 21 Research Assistants are working. Approximately the teacher/student ratio is 1/23. You can reach to Academic Staff information of our instructors in our internet port. Our instructors are exchanging information with others by participating in national and international scientific events, trying to develop the education quality by observing the contemporary techniques. They also contribute to the education activities of other universities and institutes.
	JOB OPPORTUNITIES
	Since our faculty is the only one offering education in this very field, it is almost impossible that our graduates will be jobless. As a matter of fact all our graduates ar appointed teachers to Commerce and Tourism High Schools and Multi-Programmed High Schools. Besides, those graduates who prefer to do postgraduate studies instead of being teachers hav the opportunity to work as Research Assistants in our faculty and colleges or work as lecturers in two year duration college programmes. Further more their chances to find job in private sector is rather high; Tourism department graduates easily find jobs in tourism sector. Accounting department graduates in accounting and finance offices; office management graduates as office managers, manager secretaries, office automation specialists, director of public affairs, director organization and method, filling and archive specialist in sector.
